Despite advances in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), many patients with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease continue to experience inadequate disease control with available biologics and targeted therapies. IBD is a chronic disease often diagnosed in young adults, and many patients cycle through multiple therapies due to loss of response, tolerability concerns, or incomplete disease control. There remains a clear need for treatments that deliver deeper, more durable remission with less long-term burden.
