Krishna Kandala
Senior Associate
Krishna Kandala is a Senior Associate on the investment banking team at Back Bay Life Science Advisors, where he works at the intersection of biotechnology, transaction advisory, and corporate finance. He has broad experience across therapeutic areas including immuno-oncology, infectious diseases, and rare diseases.
Krishna began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he served growth stage biotechnology players, large pharmaceutical companies, and private equity / principal investors in the life sciences sector. His work spanned private equity due diligence, sell-side transaction advisory, growth strategy, commercial analytics, and corporate finance. He also contributed to business development and marketing efforts as part of McKinsey’s biotech team and served as a member of the McKinsey Cancer Center.
Following McKinsey, Krishna joined Pledge Therapeutics as the first full-time business hire, where he led business development, corporate strategy, and operations during a period of rapid growth, successful fundraising, and key milestone achievements.
He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University. Krishna currently serves on the Breakthrough T1D young adult board and is an Executive in Residence at Cornell’s Brooks School of Public Policy.
